Solar Data Support Register

Charge HQ is endeavouring to support as many solar inverters and batteries as possible and will continue to add more over time. This page lists the solar data sources that are currently supported.

Please use the feature request page to express support for additional hardware such as solar inverters, batteries or energy monitors.

Supported Solar Data Sources

To enable EV charging to respond to the available solar energy, Charge HQ needs to obtain a data feed from your solar system. This data feed can come from the inverter, the battery or a monitoring device, depending on your setup.

Note: different data sources have different delays in obtaining the solar monitoring data. See this page for more information.

Supported Inverters

Supported Batteries

IMPORTANT: if you have one of the batteries listed above, it does not matter which kind of solar inverter you have. Charge HQ will obtain the data feed from the battery system, not the solar inverter. The brand of solar inverter is not important and does not need to be supported.

Supported Monitoring Devices

IMPORTANT: Charge HQ will obtain the data feed from the monitoring device, not the solar inverter. The brand of solar inverter is not important and does not need to be supported.

Unable to Support

  • Enphase: Charge HQ has engaged with Enphase but have been unable to complete an integration due to technical and commercial constraints with the vendor.
  • Growatt: Charge HQ has engaged with Growatt and completed most aspects of an integration. Completion requires approval from the vendor which we've been unable to obtain. We hope to obtain approval in future but do not know if or when this will occur.
  • SMA: Charge HQ has engaged with SMA but the API used for residential systems is not suitable as it is delayed up over 30 minutes. SMA have indicated that this may may change in future and we will monitor for progress.
  • Powersensor (Dius): Charge HQ has engaged with the vendor but they do not have a suitable API for us to connect to at this stage. It may change in future and we will monitor for progress.
