Charge HQ communicates with Sungrow Solar Inverters to allow you to charge from your home solar with a compatible EV or supported wall charger.
All Internet connected Sungrow solar inverters are supported.
Sungrow grid meters are supported. Includes models: S100, DTSD1352-C/10(80)A and DTSD1352-C/1(6)A.
Hybrid (battery) inverters are supported including eg SH5K-20 and SH5.0RS.
Multiple Inverters
Sites with multiple solar inverters are supported. The data from all Sungrow inverters will be combined.
Australia & New Zealand only
Currently only systems which are visible on the Australian iSolarCloud server are supported.
If your system is installed in Australia / New Zealand but is accessed via the International / HK iSolarCloud server, please contact Sungrow service team: 1800 786 476 and ask if your system can be migrated to the Australian server. If this is not possible, please let us know.
Charge from gross solar production
EV charging can be matched to gross solar production for all Internet connected Sungrow solar Inverters.
Charge from excess solar production
Where an optional Sungrow energy meter is installed, underlying energy usage in the home is taken into account allowing charging to match only the excess solar production.
If you would like to match your EV charging to excess solar production (rather than gross solar production) you will need an optional grid meter installed to monitor home energy consumption. For Sungrow inverters, your options include:
Sungrow Meter
Supplied by Sungrow these meters integrate directly with the Sungrow inverter and provides visibility of all of your home energy consumption in the Sungrow app. Contact your solar installer for supply and installation.
Stand alone solar and grid monitoring
A separate solar and grid monitor can be installed to provide Charge HQ with a compatible solar data source.
Australian users: Wattwatchers, Solar Analytics
AC Coupled batteries
Users with a Sungrow solar system that also have a supported AC coupled battery can rely on the battery integration which will include grid monitoring. A separate grid meter for the solar inverter is not required in such cases.
