Feature Roadmap

This page contains instructions for configuring
chargers with Charge HQ
Please refer to our
charger listing for details on supported models and charger specifications.

Today, Charge HQ enables EV charging at home from rooftop solar along with advanced scheduling features. There are many more features on the roadmap though. As a cloud-based service Charge HQ will continue to evolve, adding new features and capabilities with limited constraints from the hardware in your (supported) wall charger.

You’ll find a high level list of some of the core features we have planned and are able to share below. See also our guide on development prioritisation and timeframes.

See individual guides for timing and advice on support for additional solar inverters, home batteries and wall chargers.

The Roadmap

In progress

Features in progress are actively being worked on and are typically released within 3-4 months.

  • Support for more energy meters
  • Support Tesla Telemetry
  • Support for more wall chargers

Planned

Features we have internally committed to building, are prioritised behind In progress items and can be generally expected for release within 6-9 months.

  • Savings calculator
  • “Ready by” scheduler
  • Improved support for charger installers
  • One-time charging scheduler
  • Multi-vehicle & multi charging location support

In future

Features we intend to build, which are lower priority than Planned features, and where order & prioritisation has not yet been determined. There’s no guidance on the timing for this list.

  • Prevent home battery discharge whilst EV charging (Tesla Powerwall)
  • Export limited solar utilisation

History

If you’re interested, you’ll find a log of features and updates to the app in our release notes.

How can you help

We are focussed on achieving our mission of maximising the use of renewables in EV charging by building a service that EV owners love to use.

Many of the features we build are in response to requests from EV owners, so please tell us what you’d like the app to do that it doesn’t already via our community forum.
