Solar EV Chargers

This listing contains home EV chargers that can directly control EV charging in response to rooftop solar production. Some chargers in the listing can also work with Charge HQ to enable solar charging as an alternative to the in-built solar tracking method.

In-built solar tracking method indicates the chargers native ability to monitor excess rooftop solar PV generation and adjust charge rate to match it. This is generally achieved through the use of a device or sensor to monitor energy flows in electrical circuits connected to the rooftop solar system.

• CT clamp (Optional / Included): a simple energy sensor that is wired directly into the charger is used to monitor solar and or grid energy import / export
• Solar inverter integration: the charger communicates directly with a supported inverter (usually from the same brand) to discover available solar generation.
• Not possible: we cannot develop support for this charger, usually due to lack of support for OCPP.

Charge HQ support status indicates the current or expected future compatibility with Charge HQ.
