Important

Before starting configuration - please check your device compatibility and supported configurations.

NOTE: you must use the webapp [https://app.chargehq.net] to connect to AlphaESS. The current version of the mobile app does not support creating the connection. Once that's done, you can use the mobile app as normal.

Step 1

Open the Charge HQ webapp, choose My Equipment from the menu, then select Connect your Solar / Battery Equipment.

Select AlphaESS from the list.

Step 2

Obtain the following information from the label on your inverter:

• Serial Number, eg AL8001320123456
• Check Code, eg ABC123

Step 3

Enter the Serial Number and Check Code and press Send Verification Code.

Check the email account that is associated with your Alpha Cloud account. You should have received an email containing a Verification Code. It can take a few minutes for this email to arrive.

• the verification code is only valid for 30 minutes. If it expires, you will need to request a new code.
• the verification email will be sent to the email address associated with your Alpha Cloud account. This may not be the same email address you use for Charge HQ. You can confirm the address in Alpha Cloud, under User Information Settings.

Step 4

Enter the Verification Code into the Charge HQ app and press Connect.

Your AlphaESS battery should now be configured, providing Charge HQ with visibility of your solar production, battery usage and solar exports.

Troubleshooting

If you have previously connected your Alpha ESS battery and are trying to reconnect, use the following process:

• Enter your battery Serial number
• For Check code, enter "1"
• For Verification code, enter "1"
• Click Connect

Your battery should re-connect to Charge HQ.
