UPDATE 2023-12-02

The Charge HQ mobile app has been updated to support upgrading your Tesla connection. If your vehicle is not accepting commands, please update Charge HQ to the latest version and follow the prompts.

See this guide for instructions.

UPDATE 2023-11-29

A fix is now available for those vehicles which will not accept commands from Charge HQ:

  • login to the Charge HQ webapp
  • disconnect your Tesla account
  • reconnect your Tesla account, following the prompts

You must use the webapp to perform the reconnection. Once this is done, you can use the mobile app as normal.

This fix is a work-in-progress and is only recommended for those vehicles which will not accept commands from Charge HQ using the old API.

ORIGINAL POST

Some vehicles are not accepting charging commands from Charge HQ. This is caused by Tesla disabling the old API for those vehicles as described in this FAQ.

Impacted vehicles will see the following error in Charge HQ:

Your vehicle will not accept commands from Charge HQ.

If you see this error, Charge HQ is not able to control charging on your Tesla. You'll need to control charging manually using the Tesla app for now.

We are working full-time on this issue, and should have a solution for these vehicles soon.

Please stay tuned for updates.
