Why does my Tesla vehicle software need updating?

This page contains instructions for configuring
chargers with Charge HQ
Please refer to our
charger listing for details on supported models and charger specifications.

For most vehicles, Charge HQ requires software version 2024.38 or higher, beginning February 2025. This is required in order to support fleet telemetry - for more details see Tesla Fleet Telemetry FAQ.

For pre-2021 Model S & X there is currently no minimum software version required.

What if my vehicle has an unsupported version?

If your vehicle is running an unsupported software version in February 2025 then Charge HQ will no longer function correctly. In this case a notice will be displayed on the Charge HQ home screen.

To continue to use Charge HQ please update your vehicle to a supported software version.
