Why am I seeing Tesla telemetry unknown error?

This page contains instructions for configuring
chargers with Charge HQ
Please refer to our
charger listing for details on supported models and charger specifications.

If you see an error like "There was an unknown error enabling telemetry on your vehicle" it means that Charge HQ tried to enable telemetry but an unknown error occurred.

In this case, Charge HQ can not obtain data from your vehicle, eg whether it is charging or not, and can not function.

Charge HQ will continue trying to enable telemetry every few hours. You can force Charge HQ to retry immediately by disconnecting and reconnecting your Tesla account using the Charge HQ app, under Settings -> My Equipment.

If this error persists for more than 6 hours try rebooting your vehicle by holding down both scroll wheels, and then disconnect and reconnect in Charge HQ.

If you can't get it working please contact info@chargehq.net.
