Offboarding Your Equipment

This page contains instructions for configuring
chargers with Charge HQ
Please refer to our
charger listing for details on supported models and charger specifications.

After you have stopped using Charge HQ there are some actions you may need to take to restore your equipment to its default charging behaviour.

Tesla vehicles

  • Revoke access to your Tesla account
  • Next time your vehicle is charging, use the Tesla app to check that the charging amps are at the desired (max) rate. If not, increase them using the Tesla app. The vehicle will remember the new setting.
  • If you were using Charge HQ's scheduled charging feature, consider enabling a charge schedule on your vehicle using the Tesla app.

Smart chargers (OCPP)

  • Most smart chargers will revert to "plug and charge" mode when the OCPP backend is enabled but not connected, however some chargers may refuse to charge.
  • To avoid any problems, please disable OCPP on your smart charger. Refer to the setup guide for your charger for a reminder on how to access the OCPP settings.
  • If you were using Charge HQ's scheduled charging feature, consider enabling a charge schedule on your charger or vehicle, if available.

Solar inverters and batteries

Charge HQ does not control solar inverters or batteries, so offboarding will not impact their behaviour.

However, you may wish to revoke Charge HQ's access to your monitoring data. If so, please refer to the setup guide for your equipment linked from these pages:
