Must have for Tesla owners! Out of the box any extra free Solar is siphoned to the car. Much cheaper than buying a car smart charger!

We have a Tesla Model Y, the Tesla wall charger and a Fronius inverter and smart meter. Setup was genuinely painless and we were up and running in 10 minutes - amazing! It’s a great feeling charging the car entirely from sunlight. Pricing is very reasonable given the work that the devs have put in and the potential cost savings. Thoroughly recommended.

This app has worked perfectly to divert my excess PV generation to my car instead of giving it away to the grid for free. It has been a true set-and-forget solution. Highly recommended.

Once set up Charge HQ painlessly matches the output of our Fronius solar inverter with our Tesla charger. I’ve been using it for a couple of months, highly recommend. The best way to value add solar output, turn it into ‘petrol’. The set up process was a little technical but not really difficult. Big thanks to the developers.

The app is good with enough advanced features to get things working the way you want to. Charge rate changes are very responsive with Powerwall data. Really a very solid piece of software.

Just what you need if you have solar. Pretty much plug & forget. I get home & plug the car in, & everything just works in the background.

This app will save you money. We had some dramas when we had to get a new inverter after our old one had issues under warranty. It didn’t work initially with the new inverter which time we reached out to the devs and they fixed the issue. Great product and service.

Fantastic app. Makes charging a breeze. Well done. It would be awesome if the author would consider adding a feature where we could enter solar feedin price, grid per Kw price and average fuel price, then have some statistics about power savings and spend. Something similar to the way the tesla app shows but with more advanced information about additional saving from solar. All round a great app guys. 👌 Please don't introduce adds. I would happily pay a subscription fee.

I was considering buying a solaredge ev charger to match my solaredge inverter, just so I could get visibility and control over charging during solar production hours. This app covers all my needs but works with my existing tesla UMC. thanks for saving me big $$$ !!

This app is fantastic, I usually never write reviews but just had to for this one . I have Tesla solar only and no power wall and there is currently no way to throttle my cars charging to match my solar generation with the native solar app. This app is easy to setup and use and if you are a power user then you can really dial in the settings to your preference. Kudos to the devs of this app

Just works brilliantly with my Model 3 and Powerwall. Installed easily and pulled config details from Tesla. Now has taken over management of charging of both the car and Powerwall, automatically charging car with just the excess solar. I have also prioritised the Powerwall so it always charges first. If there’s not enough solar then the car will charge in the cheap rate overnight window if the charge level is below 40%.

Spent over 30 hrs programming this functionality using home assistant which does the job but rather temperamental and not as accurate. This app just works. 5 minute setup and away you go. Well done to the developers.

This app is a charging game changer if you have a Tesla and compatible inverter. Set it to fully charge 100% from excess solar or choose the amount of renewable energy you want to use from the grid. (Or a combination of both)

Set and forget and let it do its work. But it’s also fun app to tweak to get optimal charging from renewable energy.

18 months ago I bought a full MyEnergi Zappi system. I sold it after a couple of weeks because the 3 phase version needed manual changeovers when clouds went over. Then my Xmas present was finding the Charge HQ app. It connected to my Fronius and Tesla hardware in less than 15 minutes when I was fearing it would be an afternoons work.

Even though this is a Beta system it works flawlessly. I love the no cost at the moment but they state they will be cost competitive when the time for subscription comes.

This app is brilliant and the support from the app writers is top notch. It talks to my car, my battery gateway and my energy provider to ensure my car is charged for the absolute minimum cost in both money and CO2. A must for all EV owners with compatible hardware.

This app turns my solar inverter and basic EV charger into the ultimate setup for charging my Tesla. Today it was quite cloudy and charge HQ did a great job of tracking solar production and throttling EV charging to soak it up.

This app is simple, basic, and perfect- it lets you schedule when your car starts and stops charging. The Tesla app won't do this, and the only apps that do charge expensive monthly rates and give you lots of statistics, bells and whistles. If you need to simply charge your car at a scheduled time, this is it. I had a problem originally where some outside app was interfering with my scheduling and their tech support had me create a new API key, which solved the issue. Great app, great support!

Outstanding so far. I'm now able to charge my Tesla at variable rates that match my excess (SolarEdge) solar. Just what I wanted.
